SRE Training Designer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities
• Design technical trainings for SRE roles
• Develop role-based assessments aligned to competency frameworks
• Conduct pre/post skill gap assessments to track 40% reduction target
• Create hands-on scenarios that simulate real production incidents
• Co-design and deliver Academy internship and apprenticeship technical curriculum 
• Partner with Labs Engineer to define training environment requirements
• Partner with Community and Enablement Lead to manage processes and continuous 
improvement of programs

Qualification

Required: 5+ years as SRE, training/teaching experience, strong incident response background
o Preferred: Certifications (AWS, Kubernetes, etc.), curriculum design, adult learning 
principles, experience with early-career development or mentorship programs
• Key traits: 
o Can translate complex technical concepts for different skill levels (intern → senior)
o Comfortable with both curriculum design and program coordination
o Strong collaborator who can share ownership organically
o Enjoys developing early-career talent as much as upskilling senior engineers
